Our Blog
Just saying Hi!

Welcome everyone into 2025 , thank you for supporting us over the last 3 years, we cannot believe its been that long already!

Just to say if you have visited the farm recently you will see lots of rabbit guards about and sticks in the lavender field. Unfortunately in the summer when we have lots of visitors, some people do not quite understand the need to stick to the grass rows and instead walk across the lavender, sit in the lavender and fall into the plants, this damages the plants, and sometimes so much that they die, so we are replacing the dead plants with new ones. We also seem to have a rabbit issue, and they have taken a liking to our baby plants and are nibbling them to the ground (especially the angustifolia varieties) so the rabbit guards are essential to give the plants a chance to get to a size where they will not be eaten!

The vineyard is growing brilliantly, we have just pruned all the vines back to 2 buds, so it encourages really strong roots and therefore strong vines for our first lot of grapes next year! we will keep you posted.

The Lavender Cafe is going to remain open every Saturday 10 am to 4 pm , whatever the weather! it has been so lovely seeing our regulars and meeting new visitors too. You can read, in the cafe, the latest newsletter from the Parkinsons Uk explaining about the research projects that our profits are going towards, it is heartening to hear about some good progress being made. And of course all our lovely products are on sale as well, not to mention our new umbrellas and tote bags that are ideal to use on a shopping outing or on your way to work!!

As always, a big thank you from us for your ongoing support, best wishes Ian and Pippa and the team
