Peppermint Shampoo Bar

Peppermint Shampoo bar made using our very own peppermint ( Mentha piperita) essential oil and goats milk. This soap has been lovingly made using totally natural ingredients and essential oils

Changing to a shampoo bar is wonderful for your hair and the environment! but it can take from a few days to a few weeks to adjust, depending how much residual chemical is from your old shampoo. Your old detergent shampoo strips natural oils so your scalp makes more to compensate, as you can imagine it takes a little while for your scalp to accept that it doesn’t need to compensate any more as you are not stripping oils out!! during this short time you may find your hair feels a little extra greesy or heavy, make sure you rinse really well after shampooing.

Please do not give up straight away! your hair will thank you as goats milk really helps to nourish hair, its packed full of vitamins, minerals which helps to repair damaged hair and leaves it soft and manageable, its also wonderful for dry and sensitive scalps.

As well as a lovely fresh fragrance, peppermint oil may be known for some skin care benefits, it’s also good for your hair and scalp. It may help with dryness, itching, or other scalp problems.

The benefits of peppermint essential oil can be described as:

• analgesic and anesthetic
• vasodilating (and vasoconstricting)
• anti inflammatory

Some people have used peppermint oil as a remedy for hair loss, a 2014 study by Ji Young Oh, Min Ah Park and Young Chul Kim, found Peppermint Oil promotes Hair Growth without toxic signs!!

Directions for use: Gently rub your wet shampoo bar from scalp to ends as if combing your hair, then gently massage scalp and hair adding more water until a good lather forms. Or lather it between your hands and then massage it into your hair and scalp. Depending on your hair type you may need a little conditioner at the end of your hair.

rinse well after application , ( an apple cider vinegar rinse can be helpful)
